Happy Father's Day!

We love our Dad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Poster Contest

Thad's company is having a poster contest and the kids wanted to enter. The posters are required to have a theme of health. Both Miriam and Joseph chose physical health.

Miriam was complaining about dinner one night asking why I never made anything she liked. I said "well, you don't like corn, carrots, peas, potatoes, beans or lettuce so what do you want me to make? I guess I could start cooking food like cake and donuts and we could all look like the guy on your poster." This brought out major giggles from Joseph; but Miriam didn't appreciate it.

New family in our backyard

We have a new family of 6 in our backyard pear tree. 4 baby robins and their parents.

Happy Kindergarten Graduation Miriam

Do you ever feel there is a graduation for everything these days? I always thought you graduated from high school and then from college. Even though the oldest child we have is 8 we have already been to more graduations than Thad and I together. Miriam's kindergarten graduation was Friday. She practiced and practiced her songs at home and even had an instrumental part which was a surprise to us.

New York New York

We had a great time in New York. We got to experience first hand everything you think of when you hear New York. Statue of Liberty, expensive restaurants and getting robbed (sad but true). Just wanted to share a few pictures with you.

We visited St. Patricks cathedral one night, and while the rest of us oohed and awed over the stained glass and beautiful architecture - Thad thought this ladies hair was picture worthy.

In Central Park. One of my favorite spots we visited!

Top of 30 Rockefeller Center. Behind us is the Empire State building.

Christmas in May

We had our yearly Christmas in May party last night. Thad weeded all day long so the yard would look fabulous and we cooked a Christmas ham. Even though we got the ham out a day and a half early it still had ice on it. In order to get a hot piece you had to take a piece from either end. Oh well! Around 22 people attended. There was a lot of fun conversation and a great game of cootie. Miriam ended up getting the best prize of all. I would try to explain what it is, but it would take up another half of a page. Thad has some really great people he works with!!!

For some reason, Joseph escaped the camera all night because we didn't have any pictures of him. Just for your information... we love him just as much pictured or not :)

Family Home Evening

Last night for Family Home Evening, Taylor was in charge of music. When asked what song he would like to sing he replied "pink panther". So...our opening song was the theme song to pink panther. Needless to say, it was a less than reverent opening to our lesson on Moroni's promise.

No singing involved, just a lot of dancing and giggling!
