24th of July Celebration

We have decided the best place to go for the 24th of July celebration is good ol' St. Anthony Idaho. I am a little late getting these pictures up; but better late than never.

It may seem by looking at this photo that we had a horrible time floating the river. In reality, after getting over the slime and the cold big water, we all had a very nice time. Once the crying stopped all we had to listen to was the sound of the water and little voices blaming one another for getting the other wet first. At least there wasn't crying added to the fighting.

The rodeo was a favorite for everyone!! Joseph and Miriam even did the calf chase. I thought for sure they would be tippy toeing through the dirt; but they got right in there and Joseph got so close to getting some money off the cow. I don't think I have ever seen him move so fast. Money is a great motivator!!

Candy is also a great motivator!!!!

Aint they beauties!

Miriam and her friend Noelle decided to be in disguise last week while playing. "So the boys won't know who the heck we are." were the exact words they said. I think they did an especially nice job coloring in their eye brows.

Happy Father's Day!

We love our Dad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Poster Contest

Thad's company is having a poster contest and the kids wanted to enter. The posters are required to have a theme of health. Both Miriam and Joseph chose physical health.

Miriam was complaining about dinner one night asking why I never made anything she liked. I said "well, you don't like corn, carrots, peas, potatoes, beans or lettuce so what do you want me to make? I guess I could start cooking food like cake and donuts and we could all look like the guy on your poster." This brought out major giggles from Joseph; but Miriam didn't appreciate it.

New family in our backyard

We have a new family of 6 in our backyard pear tree. 4 baby robins and their parents.

Happy Kindergarten Graduation Miriam

Do you ever feel there is a graduation for everything these days? I always thought you graduated from high school and then from college. Even though the oldest child we have is 8 we have already been to more graduations than Thad and I together. Miriam's kindergarten graduation was Friday. She practiced and practiced her songs at home and even had an instrumental part which was a surprise to us.

New York New York

We had a great time in New York. We got to experience first hand everything you think of when you hear New York. Statue of Liberty, expensive restaurants and getting robbed (sad but true). Just wanted to share a few pictures with you.

We visited St. Patricks cathedral one night, and while the rest of us oohed and awed over the stained glass and beautiful architecture - Thad thought this ladies hair was picture worthy.

In Central Park. One of my favorite spots we visited!

Top of 30 Rockefeller Center. Behind us is the Empire State building.
